The STS High School ministry understands that high school is one of the larges mission fields an individual will have. In STS, we strive to equip each student with an understanding of an a love for the Gospel so that they can go into their schools and be a light for Christ. Jesus set the perfect example of what it looks like to be a disciple of Christ and to serve the Lord wholeheartedly. We want to point them to Christ so they can learn not to be imitators of Him. Through Bible studies, discipleship groups, and other hang out opportunities, our heart is to come alongside the students as they grow in their relationship with the Lord. We want to share our lives with them. Our prayer is for each student to be deeply in love with God and that their love for Him would overflow into all of their relationships.

When We Meet

SUNDAY MORNINGS [8:45 - 10:15 a.m.]

Our vision for STS Sunday mornings is to create an environment where students develop and mature in their heartbeat to know Jesus and make Him known. It is our desire to see STS students equipped to live boldly for Jesus at home, on campus, and in everyday life. On Sunday mornings, this is accomplished through small group study.

Every Sunday morning starts out with a pancake breakfast in The Cafe followed by worship in The Loft. After worship, all students will go to their small groups, which meet around the student ministry. 9-12 grade small groups are divided by grade and led by members of our STS team and adult leaders.

This year, our 9-12 grade small groups will be using material from LIVEDaily. The curriculum is divided up into 3-5 week series on different topics and books of the Bible. These series are designed to encourage and challenge students to discover the value of placing Jesus at the center of everything.

*Spring 2018 small groups meet every Sunday morning February 4 - May 20 with the exception of April 1 (Easter Sunday) and May 13 (Mother's Day/Apostles Anniversary Sunday).*

WEDNESDAY EVENINGS [6:15 - 7:15 p.m.]

Through our Midweek gathering, our hope is that students will be equipped to love God more. Every week, during Hour of Power, large group and/or small group Bible studies are offered for every grade level.

The first Wednesday of the month, our GOteams meet. This is an opportunity for students to come together and serve our ministry and the community. GOteams are based on areas of interest, our student’s passions, hobbies, and skills. Students can sign learn more about each team and sign up for more information HERE.

The other weeks, we will be going DEEPER in Bible Studies! 9-12 graders, join us in The Loft as we look at deep issues and questions of the faith and discuss them with our peers. We'll be using TrueU videos from the Truth Project to spark conversation.

Community Groups [Third Sunday, 5:00 - 6:30pm] *Spring 2018: February 18, March 18, April 15*

Our vision is to intentionally build community within STS and offer a welcoming & unintimidating atmosphere for students to invite friends. That is the heartbeat behind Community Groups: why we are meeting in homes, why we plan to build in time for fellowship and games, and why we are including time in the Word and discussion. We want students to leave encouraged, with some new or deeper connections, and knowing they are loved by our Savior.

This year, during the Bible study and discussion time, we will be looking at selected topics from David Platt's Counter Culture.
